Estimated income tax law changes
You may need to increase your 2009 personal income estimated tax if:
arrow Your New York taxable income exceeds:
arrow Your New York adjusted gross income exceeds $1 million and you claim the New York itemized deduction.

Penalty

No penalty will apply to any shortage in your April 15, 2009 estimated tax payment that relates to this change. However, you must include the April 15, 2009 payment shortfall amount in your June 15, 2009 payment.
