New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Commissioner Robert L. Megna and Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that a certified public accountant with offices in Yonkers and New York City was recently arraigned on grand larceny and tax evasion charges for stealing about $1.6 million from a former employer.

Todd Newman, 49, of Haley Hill Drive, Carmel, New York, served as a secretary/treasurer for B. Schoenberg & Co., a recycler of plastics and engineering resins headquartered in Yorktown Heights, New York.
