| I already applied for my rebate. When will I receive my check? |
Middle Class STAR applications are processed upon receipt and rebate checks are issued
quickly for most homeowners.
Issuance of some rebate checks may take longer if we are unable to systematically process
an application because:
- the information on the application either did not match the property information provided to us using local assessment rolls; or
- the information did not match the income tax return data in our records.
We are able to resolve most cases and issue the rebate check using a manual review process without further action
by the homeowner. However, the manual process is time consuming and is the reason
some have not yet received a rebate.
It is our responsibility to ensure that we issue checks only to eligible individuals and accurately determine the income for
the property owners in order to provide the correct rebate amount. We are processing applications as quickly as we can. We
