Strategic Performance Metrics

Beginning in the new fiscal year 2008-2009, the Department of Taxation and Finance developed new metrics and refined the group of strategic metrics that support the Department's goal of promoting government transparency and accountability to taxpayers.  These metrics will be posted on a quarterly basis.

Performance Measurement Program

A critical component of the Department's Strategic Plan was the outcome-based performance measurement program. This program used various statistical measures to plan, monitor and evaluate results for the purpose of improving performance, achieving objectives and ensuring accountability.

Performance measurement is a dynamic and evolutionary process. Accordingly, we continually reviewed and refined our performance measures and their use as we moved forward with our Three-Year Strategic Plan Update.
